Applied on local levels by older adoptees and new generations of young people, technology helps spread vaccines and health supplies, gives greater access to information to manage health dilemmas, and helps monitor disease movement locally and worldwide. Technology also creates significant threats such as disease migration via transportation networks, imbalances between the developed and developing world, and the enhanced capabilities of social factions bent on creating fear, economic upheaval, and terrorism.
