Meeting at the interface of human, animal and environmental health
The context for the conference is the interface between human health, animal health and environmental health. This is not just an abstract space or idea but relates to our everyday lives and work. There will be a major emphasis throughout this week on the process by which we convert our experiences of the present and of the past to enable us to deal more effectively with the future at that interface. The process itself consists of four fundamentally different cognitive activities -- Observing in the sense of experiencing, thinking, planning and acting. It is important that we work through each of these activities and emphasize their differences.
